Between June 4 and 6, the first edition of the European Science Fair took place at the Poznań International Fairgrounds. The aim of the ESF included, among other things, promoting Polish science and fostering cooperation between science and industry. The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, and the MTP Group.
A part of the European Science Fair was a poster exhibition showcasing selected scientific research currently conducted at AMU. Among them was a poster presenting the activities of the Democratic Innovations Research Group, representing our Faculty. The group conducts two research projects financed by the National Science Centre, Poland. The material provided an accessible introduction to citizens’ assemblies, which is the group’s main focus, presented selected results and publications, analyzed cases of citizens’ assemblies in Poland and Europe, and a project implemented by the group in cooperation with Poznań City Hall and students from our Faculty.
