On June 30 – July 1, Ph.D. Ewa Zielińska from the Democratic Innovations research group participated in the conference The Civil Sphere in Central and Eastern Europe, held in Frankfurt (Oder). The event was organized by Prof. Bernadette Nadya Jaworsky (Masaryk University, Brno) and Dr. Susann Worschech (European University Viadrina).
The conference was part of the ongoing work on a forthcoming book exploring the civil sphere in the context of Jeffrey C. Alexander’s theory. Alexander himself participated in the event and co-led a workshop where participants discussed draft chapters of the publication.
Ph.D. Ewa Zielińska presented a chapter titled Deliberative Innovations and the Civil Sphere: Insights from Polish Climate Movements, co-authored with Prof. Paulina Pospieszna.
