Ms. Weronika Kędzia took part in a workshop on permanent citizens’ assemblies, organized by the Federation for Innovation in Democracy – Europe (FIDE) in partnership with European Climate Foundation and KNOCA to explore the needs of cities and regions preparing to implement permanent models of citizen deliberation.
During a two-day workshop in Brussels, Ms. Kędzia was able to listen to pioneers and experts of permanent citizens’ assemblies, including representatives of the Ostbelgien German-speaking community in Belgium which institutionalized permanent Citizens’ Council (Bürgerrat) and temporary Citizens’ Assemblies (Bürgerversammlungen) in 2019.
