On June 20, 2023, a one-day seminar entitled Deliberation, citizen panels and mini-publics on environmental problems. The state of research in Poland took place at the headquarters of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the Staszic Palace in Warsaw. The event was an opportunity to exchange knowledge and discuss the current state of research, as well as to get to know other researchers and practitioners active in the field of deliberative innovations in Poland. During the seminar, Prof. Paulina Pospieszna and Magni Szymaniak-Arnesen, MA gave presentations on planned publications based on their ongoing research.
The seminar was organized by Adela Gąsiorowska, MA (Doctoral School of Social Sciences, University of Warsaw) and Piotr Trzaskowski, MA (School of Social Sciences, IFiS PAN) with the support of the research team on the Anthropocene and the political from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Wroclaw and the Environmental Sociology Section of the Polish Sociological Association.
