During field research carried out as part of the i4i project, the Democratic Innovations team, represented by Dr Marta Hoffmann and Olga Kaziród, had the opportunity to present the objectives and methodology of the i4i project at a meeting organised by Perspective Brussels – the municipal department responsible for spatial planning in Brussels and various forms of public participation. The meeting was attended by a group of students from the Sorbonne, who had come to hear about the experiences of those directly involved in the implementation of Brussels’ deliberative committees and the permanent citizens’ panel. The meeting was a good opportunity not only to promote our project, but also to meet other researchers with whom the Democratic Innovations team collaborates on other projects, such as ScaleDem (https://scaledem.eu/).
