The main areas of scientific research have to be presented generally in connection with the interests of every member of the Political Theory Department. These can be enumerated as follows: the theory of elite (recently specially the so-called neofunctional elitist paradigma), the question of political power, the totalitarian political systems (first of all the Stalinist Soviet Union, the Third Reich and Italy during the rule of Benito Mussolini); the political system of modern democratic states; some procedures of direct democracy; some political ideas; political populism.
