Krzysztof Żerko, a student of master program in International Relations at the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism, AMU, spent the entire April 2025 at the Silesian University in Opava, Czechia, as a CEEPUS scholarship holder.
“It was a great experience to participate in CEEPUS scholarship for a one month in Silesian University, Opava (Czech Republic). Interesting classes with use of methods of active learning and very well-equipped library were very helpful in development of my scientific skills. Also, university administration and science staff here were and always ready to solve all of my problems here. The city was also a great place to learn something new about relations between Czechs and Germans in this area in the interwar period, what is for my very interesting, due to my interests in German studies. After-effects of German presence in Opava are still very well visible, so it was an opportunity to gain new knowledge in this area”.
