On Wednesday, 19 November, another lecture within the Open Lecture Series took place. The guest speaker was Dr. Drago Župarić-Iljić from the University of Zagreb (Croatia). He delivered a lecture entitled Complexities of Migration in the West Balkans. The event was organized by the Border and Regional Studies Research Group (SGiR) as part of the CEEPUS research network.
Dr. Župarić-Iljić offered an analysis of the complex determinants of migration in the Western Balkans, taking into account political, social, and security-related factors. His presentation highlighted the dynamics of migration routes and the impact of both regional and EU policies on contemporary mobility processes.
