Bardzo Uniwersyteckie Czasopismo (BUC Magazine)

The historical BUC editorial college meeting took place in office of "Gazeta Poznańska” Daily Newspaper, where students interesting in establishing a new newspaper, with the consent of the today's Vice-Rector Professor Tadeusz Wallas, met to discuss the concept of the project. The project has been continued to this day under the same name of Bardzo Uniwersyteckie Czasopismo, or BUC in brief. The first editor-in-chief was Przemysław Osiewicz, now a professor at the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism. A number of editors who started their journalism adventure there, can be seen today in the national media, e.g. Małgorzata Mielcarek. Some found their eternal love in the project office and others found motivation to write a book, e.g. Filip Czekała.

Today, the BUC trains young and skillful journalists passionate about their work who can develop their professional skills in the most student-oriented newspaper at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Every month the BUC gives readers an update on students’ life, commentaries, sport, stories and journalism.

Fenestra

"The Fenestra Student Magazine is a monthly publication that started in 2006. Since it was founded by political scientists, the tradition has been continued and the magazine publishes mainly articles on political issues. Other topics are covered as well. We express our views on the status of the modern society in general. We are not afraid to express critical views on contemporary art and culture, and sport is for us an important complement to social relations, and a form of a dialog capable of bonding people. We believe that free exchange of ideas can only be guaranteed if it is not restricted by an imposed interpretation of facts. Therefore, our editors, within limits set only by integrity and language culture, enjoy full freedom to express what they actually think.

We want our voice to be heard not only within the walls of our Faculty. Therefore, we deliver copies of the magazine to other institutes ourselves, we run our website, and we invite students from other courses than just political science and journalism.

Flesz

Flesz is a student television station that cherishes professionalism while developing each broadcast and keeps saying: "It’s gonna be a hit!". Although they say that no-one knows everything, the Flesz team from Morasko provides "full service” to its viewers, including the coverage of interesting events, interviews (not only in Polish!), and shows the operation of student media to high school students during workshops. The trial and error method and humble approach to the camera are used to broadcast information about important events while having fun.

From October to June, every week new episodes of Flesz are there for you, so that you can keep up with what is going on at the Faculty and beyond in the Poznań academic and culture world. For years, our student TV station has been involved in local popular science issues, such as the Poznań Art and Science Festival and the Night of Scientists.

Kurier Akademicki

Who are we? The largest TV editorial board at the Faculty! Our team consists of approximately 60 completely different and interesting personalities. We do have one goal: create episodes that every two weeks are broadcast by the Poznan TVP3 Station. We are the voice of academic Poznan. Our cameras reach every student-related event. In particular, we support bottom-up initiatives from students and for students. We discuss both difficult and challenging themes, as well as those more casual". Everyone can find something interesting in our programme.

Kurier Akademicki was established in 2011. Since then, we have been rapidly growing from strength to strength, always eager to try something new. We like to expand media-type horizons. We have provided twice a 12-hour live coverage of the WOŚP orchestra, a nation-wide charity event, at the Poznań University of Technology. In the past 9 years, we have broadcast more than 160 episodes and we have appetite for many more!

SIC! e-newspaper

Our e-newspaper has been available on-line since autumn 2008. Many students (stationary and non-stationary courses) take their first steps in electronic media. Some also have their practical training there lasting several weeks. Often, after the training, they continue collaboration with the portal. They add up to the diversity of Sic! with their foreign news. Nine tabs (Faculty, University, Knowledge, Media, Poznań, Events, Entertainment, Sports, and Miscellaneous) cover a variety of topics and allow to promote a broad spectrum of journalism.

We support various events, not only those that take place in the academic community. In short, it is the place for anyone who wants to develop and strengthen their journalistic and editorial skills. From the very beginning, the portal has been managed by its editor Andrzej Piechocki.

The Student Information Agency is a new organization at our Faculty. We create and continuously complement our database with information about the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism.
