BIP in Poznań will be devoted to establishing/facilitating a dialogue between EU students and Ukrainian PhD students who have decided to continue their academic careers in Ukraine or come to Poland after 24.02.2022.
Students will create in-depth interviews with Ukrainian colleagues. The interviews will be shaped as videos that can be spread among communities in Ukraine, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain. This could help broaden awareness about Ukrainian PhD students’ perspectives on developing their careers in times when their country struggles with the Russian Federation’s aggression. The interviews should be held following the principle of mutual understanding and exchange of perspectives. Their interlocutors will reflect on how Ukrainian PhD students understand/imagine their vocation during after the war, and what can be done to support them in developing their skills and competencies.
Moreover, conversations should help to answer a general question: ‘How can we develop intercultural partnerships that increase the common good in highly mediatized societies of multileveled risks (in Ukraine and EU as well)?’
